National Human Rights Consultation Submission AGWW-7RQCKT Name: Submission Text: I am completely opposed to a National Human Rights Bill because it will work against the law abiding in our communities. The recent laws enacted against motorcycle gangs in NSW will be challenged by lawyers who will use the provisions of this bill. They are not interested in justice but only in money. Human rights bills in other parts of the world, notably Great Britain, have shown that immigrants who are a threat to the stability and well being of the state, can use the UN human rights legislation to override the decisions of government. In Australia, a judge will have the power to overule legislation relating to mandatory sentencing. A glaring example of a non elected jurist having more power than politicians who are answerable to the voters. The legal fraternity are salivating at the prospect of this bill being enacted. They are aware of the enormous amount of power and wealth that will be placed in the hands of people who are unaccountable to any but themselves. We will also have groups, ranging from the dangerous to the unnatural, pushing their agenda against the wishes of the majority. I TOTALLY OPPOSE THIS BILL. Trevor Adams Page 1 of 1
