AGWW-7SVG2C Name: Submission Text: 1) We don't need a bill of rights, our rights are adequately protected with our current system of checks and balances. 2) Bills of rights have done nothing to prevent major crimes against humanity in other countries that have them. 3) Where Western democracies have enacted such bills of rights, it has actually reduced or limited basic human rights e.g. freedom of religion, freedom of expression. 4) Bills of rights move power from the democratic and parliamentary processes into the hands of unelected judges and clog up our courts.
