i will make other submissions but i will start with children's
 
rights.
 
we here a lot about everybody's right but a society is judged by how it
 
treats it's own children.
 

 
children have all the rights that anyone can talk to you about but the
 
biggest right is the one most important in short parents. we have too many
 
so called parents who simply do not know or are incapable to really look
 
after their kids. and we have DOCS for that but i think that DOCS adds to
 
the problem.
 
docs should recognise the fact that kids are better off at home with their
 
families and should simply be given the power to firstly educate the
 
parents in parenting etc.
 

 
Our society cannot afford to keep remoing chilldren from amilies ( we could
 
end up with a similar situation as the stolen generation all over again).
 
put simply if the parents are not cooperative and are not willing to parent
 
their children than the kids are simply removed but given to adoptive
 
parents but before that huge step is taken DOCS must make absolutely sure
 
that it has tried to educate the parents.
