National Human Rights Consultation Submission AGWW-7MYEEP Name: Iona Kentwell Submission Text: After World War II the United Nations developed a bill of human rights. In it the basic requirements for all humans to live by was written up and agreed upon. These 30 rights are succinct and as relevant today as 60 years ago. Many of these human rights are not today upheld here in Australia, much to our shame. As a nation we should demand no less than to implement this bill to the fullest. There is certainly no need to spend tax payers money re-inventing the wheel on this. Human rights for all people is a vital part of any reasonable society, and the United Nations Bill of Human Rights is beautifully all encompassing and has the ability to keep all people safe, represented and respected. Thank you. Page 1 of 1
