National Human Rights Consultation Submission AGWW-7QWCN2 Name: Gary Adams Submission Text: The proposed human rights charter if enacted with a responsibilities code will not be human rights, but limited rights. You see human rights by international consensus is a universal concept, not limited by a cost of responsibilities. The intended human rights charter is supposed to protect our rights as citezens. But the people who need the most protection can still have their human rights abused if a code of responsibilities is anacted. Becuase a public servant can justify the abuse and not recognise the citezens rights by hiding behind the code of responsibilites decalaring the citzen dosent meet the code of responsibilities. So how does this protect a citizen when all the government has do to is declare that you dont meet the code of responsibilites and then have the right to abuse your human rights. Where is the protection for people who are aqused of not meeting the code of responsibilites. This isnt human rights this is limited rights. The commitee charged with this is stating that they dont want a repeat of the villians act in the UK, where a handfull of villians are aqused of hiding behind the human rights act. Now what about all the UK citizens that were protected by the human rights act from the villans in the UK public service. If they impose a code of reponsibilities how many UK public servants would have ligitimised the human rights abuse by hiding behind a code of responsibilites. We need to check whith a UK human rights charity and check the statistics on this. So if you are going to propose a limited rights clasue that is code of responsibilities please make another declaration on the rights of people who wont have their human rights recognised by the state due to not meeting a responsibilities clause. Please do not impiliment a responsibilites clause becuase the moemnt you do the act propsed isnt human rights its limited rights and will jsutify the abuse of people public servants dont like. it will create a loop hole of abuse. thus making it a dummy act that is a feel good pretend human rights act. you see whats the point of having a human rights act to protect people from public seervants that abuse them, when all the public service has to do is declare that you dont meet the code of resposibilkites so they can abuse you anyway.
